How the calculation works

PM compliance = PMs completed on time ÷ PMs scheduled × 100. It’s the share of preventive maintenance done within its due window. Higher PM compliance is better.

A PM done after its window counts as late, not compliant. Agree the window up front so everyone counts the same way.

PM compliance is a leading indicator: when it slips, breakdowns tend to follow, so it moves before MTBF does. It’s only trustworthy when checklist steps are recorded, not just the open and close times.

This calculator is for one period, entered by hand. MachDatum CMMS tracks PM compliance from your PM schedules and the work orders they raise.
